Queen’s Visit to Redbridge As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations the Queen will be visiting areas around the U.K. and she will be visiting Redbridge at the end of March. We have been invited to participate in this event and will be selecting 5 pupils as well as our Chair of the School Council-Lauren Samuels to take part. We have decided to have a competition ‘if you could spend a day with the Queen what would you do?’ We are inviting entries from Nursery,Reception, KS1 and KS2. The children can choose how they present their ideas in writing, picture, model, poem, powerpoint,etc.

Cake Donations As always PAWS events would not be possible without the generosity of parents and we are asking for cake donations for our Easter fair. All donations need to be delivered to the school office on Friday morning 16th March. Thank you in advance.
Easter Fair-Friday 16th March 3.45-5.30pm
We have lots of fantastic activities planned for you, so don’t miss out on the fun.
Easter egg tombola, Face painting, Treasure hunt, Nail painting, Temporary tattoos, Buzzer game, Crafts, Badge making, Refreshments, Home made cakes and lots more.
Non-uniform Day Friday 9th March, a donation of £1 per child please. Pupils to dress up as a character from a book.

PAWS On line shopping Please don’t forget this website if you shop on line www.easyfundraising.org.uk. We can raise funds for the school without costing you a penny!

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers We are once again collecting these vouchers for sports equipment for the school . Last year we were able to collect a large amount of sports equipment with them and it would be great to be able to do the same this year. They will be available at Sainsbury’s from Wednesday 15th February so please remember to collect them when you do your shopping and send them into school. Thank you!

Year 6 Trips Unfortunately we have cancelled the two alternative trips that were planned for those children in Year 6 who are not going to Glasbury. This is because we did not get enough response and so cannot therefore continue with these bookings. If you had paid for these trips please come into the school office for your refund.

Good Works Assembly-tomorrow Classes RC, 1O, 2M, 3M, 4H, 5E and 6W at 10am.

Year 3 Trip The children in Year 3 visited Epping Forest Conservation Centre on Tuesday of this week. They had a wonderful day and the weather was kind so they were able to work outside as well as in the classrooms.

Spare Clothing We are in particular need of some small sized underwear and socks. If you have any to donate to school please send them into the school office. Thank you.

Drumming Assembly Last week we were treated to a lovely drumming assembly in school. The children showed off their talents to us all!

Olympic Week Just a reminder about Olympic Week taking place week beginning 12th March. Please ensure that your child has their P.E. kit in school each day. On Friday 16th March children are invited to bring in a £1 to come dressed as a sporting hero. The Good Works assembly on 16th will have a sporting theme—parents invited as per the relevant classes.

Reminder Glasbury Meeting Tonight at 5pm for those children in Year 6 going on the residential trip.
