Welcome back, everyone! I do hope that you all had a great half-term break.
Puppeteer
The week started with all the children enjoying a fantastic performance of ‘The Selfish Giant’. All the children, and the staff, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the follow-up work in classes was excellent.
Well done, Ms. Patel, for organising an exciting start to this half-term.
Inclement Weather
Please ensure that your child brings a coat to school daily, as the weather is now cold and we do not want the children to suffer with cold at playtimes.
Uniform
It is lovely to see the majority of the children coming to school in uniform. Please note, that jewellery should not be worn apart from small stud earrings or items of religious observance. Headscarves should be plain black or white.
Donations of Board Games/ Clothing, Underwear, etc.
We would be really grateful for any old board games or playing cards for use at wet playtimes.
Office staff would also be very grateful for small sizes of tights, and underwear for use when children have ’little accidents’.
School Priorities 2009-2010
We continue to focus on building on our past successes and are working towards improving the following areas:
· Writing across the curriculum, especially for more able pupils.
· Working towards gaining the I.C.T. and Arts Marks by the end of the academic year.
Much has already been done to develop these areas, but we are keen to achieve further improvements.
In addition, the governing body is once again working closely with the local authority on our next building project in order to get a much needed school library. More updates to follow in future letters.

Maths Bead Strings These are now on sale for Reception and Year 1 parents and can be purchased from the school office. Prices as follows:
