Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers We are once again collecting these vouchers for sports equipment for the school . Last year we were able to collect a large amount of sports equipment with them and it would be great to be able to do the same this year. They will be available at Sainsbury’s from Wednesday 15th February so please remember to collect them when you do your shopping and send them into school. Thank you!

Run-up to the Olympics 2012 As we approach the London Olympics 2012 the children will be taking part in lots of exciting activities at school in order to mark this significant event. We have our Olympic week from Monday 12th March-Friday 16th March as well as lots of other whole school competitions and events taking place. More information about these will be announced nearer the time.

PAWS Charity Registration We are very pleased to inform you that PAWS are now a registered charity . This now means we are able to claim gift aid and company match funding which can really help to maximise the funds we raise for the school.
More details to follow.

Music Tuition We currently have vacancies for brass (trumpet, trombone or cornet) and cello lessons. £4 per lesson once a week in school time. If your child would like to start any of these instruments please send a letter in to the school office expressing your interest.

Year 6 Trips Please note Year 6 will be visiting the Hargreaves scout camp on 16th March. Please complete the health and safety forms if you have not yet done so and send them in to school as soon as possible. Also the £3 for transport. Thank you.

If your child in Year 6 is not going to Glasebury we have arranged the two alternative trips. We need to know as soon as possible if your child intends to go on these as if we do not get enough children to participate we may have to consider cancelling them. If you have already replied thank you.

Bad Weather During this period of bad weather please check the school website for regular updates in case we have any more snow and need to inform you of any school closures.

Family Fit n Fun The Redbridge Institute is running a Family Fit n Fun course for children aged 5 years and over. It will be held on a Thursday from 3.45-5.15pm. If you are interested please see Mrs Allen for a registration form.

Newsletter Staff, children and governors worked together to create a school motto that represents the aims and ethos of our school and it’s community:
Growing, Learning and Achieving with Dedication and Enthusiasm!
This will now be at the top of our letter each week.

Parents can parents please step away from the lines in the morning as there is no need for parents to escort children in to school. The pathways and corridors can become very congested in the mornings and it is difficult to supervise the children in to the building.

Finally, have a good break. Remember 20th February is an INSET day so we will see you all on Tuesday 21st February at 9am.
