The children enjoyed finding out about the different parts of the Church and the special objects and what they are used for. They also learnt about the special events and ceremonies that happen in a church. Thank you to the parents who came along to help. They will be visiting Claybury Forest next in March. If you have not yet sent in the permission slip for this please do so as soon as possible. Thank you.

Sign2sing World Record Attempt We shall be attempting to break the World Record in school on 8th February when the children will be singing simultaneously and hopefully will help to raise money for the charity ‘Signhealth’. We are asking for a £1 contribution which can be handed in at the school office.

Playground Apparatus For Health and Safety reasons please do not let your child play on the new outdoor apparatus before or after school. During the school day this area is used by children on a rota basis and is supervised by the staff on duty.

Passports Lately we have had an increased number of requests for passport applications. This process does take time to complete by school staff. In future we will request a charge of £5 for each application.

Uniform The majority of our children wear their school uniform proudly and they look great particularly with the new school logo. A few children still need reminding.
Grey and black cardigans are not the school colours.
Head dresses are allowed but must be black or white.
Footwear must be sensible and sturdy—black shoes/trainers.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers We are once again collecting these vouchers for sports equipment for the school . Last year we were able to collect a large amount of sports equipment with them and it would be great to be able to do the same this year. They will be available at Sainsburys from Wednesday 15th February so please remember to collect them when you do your shopping and send them into school. Thank you!

We have our Olympic week from Monday 12th March-Friday 16th March as well as lots of other whole school competitions and events taking place. More information about these will be announced nearer the time.

Year 1 Outdoor Area We have been busy developing the outdoor learning area. If you have anything you no longer need that you think could be used in this area, please let us know.
