I hope you all had a lovely break and are back feeling rested and ready for hard work. We are now into the beginning of the Spring Term.
Class 4L Swimming Just to remind parents of children in this class that their swimming sessions start tomorrow afternoon and continue until 8th April 2011. Please ensure that your child has their swimming kit each Friday ready for these sessions which are part of the national curriculum and must be attended regularly. Therefore if you have not yet returned the permission slip and money please do so before tomorrow afternoon.
Toddler Group Please note this will start back next Wednesday at 2pm. We hope to see lots of you there with your little ones!
Reading We are appealing to all parents who have already got a CRB in place and would like to volunteer some time in school to contact the office as the Reception and Year 1 teachers would appreciate regular parent helpers with reading. We will have a training session in Reading for all our parents helpers on Tuesday 25th January at 9.15am in the Lloyd hall, please come along.
Parents who do not have CRB’s and are able to commit regular time to help with reading are also welcome but they will not be able to start until the CRB is in place.
Dangerous Parking Once again we are disappointed to say that many of our parents are parking outside school causing a danger to their own children and others. For the safety of all our children please park in nearby streets and walk your child to the school grounds. We will be contacting the local traffic wardens to issue fines to those parents who continue to ignore our advice.
Funding We have been informed of a funding opportunity through the Royal Bank of Scotland. Any parents who have any contact with the RBS. Please contact the school office, as we could be nominated for funding to improve our school playground.
25th Anniversary Our caretaker, Colin Suttling has reached his 25th year of dedicated service at the school. We thanked him in a special assembly before the holiday and shared our appreciation for everything that he has done for the school. Thank you Colin!
Unwanted Christmas Gifts If you have any unwanted gifts at home please bring them into school as PAWS would love them to use for future raffle prizes. Thank you.
