newsletter 14 jan

Tissues Because of the weather and time of year we have noticed an increase in the amount of children asking for tissues during the school day. Please supply your child with a pack of tissues that they can have in school for their personal use. This will also, hopefully ensure that we can limit the amount of germs being spread.

Cold Weather As we are experiencing very cold temperatures at the moment please make sure that your child comes to school in a warm coat, scarf and gloves.

Dinner Arrears Unfortunately this note has been in the newsletter several times before but we still have a large number of dinner arrears and so have to put another note in.
School lunches must be paid for either in advance or on the day that the lunch is being booked for. We cannot book lunches on account!

Class 4N Swimming Reminder that lessons start tomorrow. Please make sure that your child has their swimming kit in school each Friday now.

Parent Governor Vacancy Following on from last weeks letter we now have the parent governor leaflets available from the school office. If you are interested in being nominated or nominating someone else please come into the office and collect a form. Closing date for nominations is Thursday 28th January.

NSPCC Number Day Don’t forget, this is happening in school tomorrow. Please come to school dressed in something with numbers on it, donations of £1.

African Drumming This term Year 6 pupils will have drumming lessons with Rico from the Redbridge Music Service. This is a unique opportunity for our children, which was thoroughly enjoyed by our Year 2 pupils last term.

Royal Albert Hall Glade Primary will once again participate in the bi-annual festival at the Royal Albert Hall on 17th March 2010. The choir have begun to practice in earnest and are looking forward to their big night.
