Newsletter 33 - 11th June 2009

Parent Governor Vacancy As mentioned in last week’s newsletter we have a vacancy for a Parent Governor. You will be receiving a nomination form tomorrow. If you are interested in nominating yourself for this position, please complete the form and send back to school by Friday 19th June. If we have more than one person nominated, we will have to go to ballot. Further details will follow.

Non-Uniform We raised £219 at our last PAWs Non-Uniform Day. Thank you to you all for your support. Please remember that the next non-uniform day is Friday 19th June when we will be asking for donations of bottles of drink for the Summer Fair.

Year 5 Camp We are planning an overnight camp on our school field for children in Year 5. This will be on 26th June. Please ensure you respond to the letter sent out earlier in the week.

Year 5 Parents Please return the reply slip for sailing and the residential trip, so that we can finalise details and make the necessary bookings. Please also note that those who do not go on the residential trip next year, will be offered the opportunity to go on local trips at a cost of approximately £50. Thank you.

Missing Books We appear to be missing a great number of school books that have been taken home by pupils and not returned. Please help us to re-stock by checking at home.

Dinner Money Arrears We have a number of parents still in debt for dinner money. Please clear your arrears by the end of this week or send a packed lunch in for your child until the debt is settled.

New Catering Contract From September 2009, we will have a new contractor providing school meals. Under the new management, there will be a price increase. In addition, the new contractor will only provide meals for children who have been paid for in advance.

MDA Vacancies We have two MDAs stepping down from their posts. If you are interested in joining our MDA team, please collect an application form from the school office. Closing date for applications is Wednesday 24th June 2009.
