Newsletter 34 - 18th June
Musical Afternoon We had a fantastic turnout for our `Music Showcase` on Tuesday afternoon, when many of our talented musicians displayed their skills and progress. Well done to Mrs Robinson for organising this wonderful event.
Trip to Hampton Court Our Year 4 children went on their exciting trip to Hampton Court yesterday dressed as `Tudors`. Look out on the school’s website for forthcoming blogs on this.
West Runton Residential Trip 27 of our Year 6 pupils are off to West Runton on Sunday until next Friday. Parents please ensure that you arrive at the school by 10.45am, and not before on Sunday 21st June. Staff will be here from 10.30am.
Camping on the School Field Year 5 parents, please respond to the letter in order that we can plan groupings, etc.
Arts Week We have had a special Arts Week in school and the children have all thoroughly enjoyed making lots of different things. We shall be showing off their wonderful work in our Good Works Assemblies tomorrow. Please do try to come along. We shall be starting them a little bit earlier for this week only. Tomorrow morning will start at 10.10am and tomorrow afternoon at 2.50pm. Thank you.
Non-Uniform Day Donations of full bottles of drink or £1 for the Paws Summer Fair.
Mobile Library The mobile library will be in school next week on 24th June. If you have borrowed any books please return them for this date. Thank you.

Newsletter 33 - 11th June 2009
Parent Governor Vacancy As mentioned in last week’s newsletter we have a vacancy for a Parent Governor. You will be receiving a nomination form tomorrow. If you are interested in nominating yourself for this position, please complete the form and send back to school by Friday 19th June. If we have more than one person nominated, we will have to go to ballot. Further details will follow.
Non-Uniform We raised £219 at our last PAWs Non-Uniform Day. Thank you to you all for your support. Please remember that the next non-uniform day is Friday 19th June when we will be asking for donations of bottles of drink for the Summer Fair.
Year 5 Camp We are planning an overnight camp on our school field for children in Year 5. This will be on 26th June. Please ensure you respond to the letter sent out earlier in the week.
Year 5 Parents Please return the reply slip for sailing and the residential trip, so that we can finalise details and make the necessary bookings. Please also note that those who do not go on the residential trip next year, will be offered the opportunity to go on local trips at a cost of approximately £50. Thank you.
Missing Books We appear to be missing a great number of school books that have been taken home by pupils and not returned. Please help us to re-stock by checking at home.
Dinner Money Arrears We have a number of parents still in debt for dinner money. Please clear your arrears by the end of this week or send a packed lunch in for your child until the debt is settled.
New Catering Contract From September 2009, we will have a new contractor providing school meals. Under the new management, there will be a price increase. In addition, the new contractor will only provide meals for children who have been paid for in advance.
MDA Vacancies We have two MDAs stepping down from their posts. If you are interested in joining our MDA team, please collect an application form from the school office. Closing date for applications is Wednesday 24th June 2009.

Newsletter 32 - 3rd June 2009
School Closure Tomorrow School will be closed tomorrow as we are being used as a polling station. School will resume as normal on Friday morning.
Staff Car Park I have mentioned this issue in previous newsletters, please, please do not use the staff car park when dropping off or picking up your children. It is only for the use of staff members!
Parent Governor Vacancy We currently have a vacancy on the Governing Body for a parent governor. Leaflets will be coming home shortly with more information.
Attendance and Punctuality Please ensure that your child attends school regularly and is on time. In line with Redbridge policy we do monitor regularly and will issue fixed penalty fines to parents, who take children on holiday during term time—£50 per child.
And a special mention to Phoebe Francis who was due to take part but sadly had an accident the day before and hurt her wrist.
Donations The Reception staff would be grateful for any donations of toys, puppets, games, drapes, carpet squares, dressing up clothes and handbags, that can be used to develop creative play. If you have any good quality items that you no longer need, and think it would be useful for the Reception classes. Please speak to any of the staff in Reception. Many Thanks.
PAWS Non-Uniform Day Thanks to all who supported us with the last event. We will let you know how much we raised next week. Remember, we are working towards raising £2000 for additional exciting playground fixed furniture such as a long boat. The next non-uniform day is now on 19th June and we are asking for donations of bottles for the summer fete.
Wrong Trousers Day This is on 26th June and we are asking children for a donation of £1 please. Thank you.
