Year 3 held a very successful Victorian Christmas market today raising money for Barnardos.
Christmas Dinner 8th December If you have not returned your slip it is now too late. Please provide your child with a packed lunch or take them home for lunch on 8th as the cook has pre-ordered the food already.
PAWS Tea Towels Have you seen your child’s self portrait on the Glade School tea towel? These make wonderful keepsakes. We will be selling these after school for £3.50 each or 3 for £10. Limited quantities available. All profits will go towards new school playground equipment.

Christmas Concerts KS1 Concert will be at 10.00 am on Tuesday 13th December for morning nursery, RC, 10 and 2P. For pm nursery,RS, 1J and 2M the concert will be at 2.00 pm on the 13th December.
KS2 Concert will be on Thursday 8th December at 10.00 am for pupils and parents with toddlers. An evening performance of KS2 concert will be held on Tuesday 13th December at 6.30pm for adults only.
BAGS 2 SCHOOL TOMORROW—FRIDAY 2ND DECEMBER AT 9.00AM PAWS have organised a textile collection with Bags 2 School in order to raise funds for new playground equipment. Just fill your donation bag with unwanted textiles (this can include clothing, shoes, hats, belts, bags, soft toys, curtains and bedding). The bags will be collected from the school gate on Friday 2nd December at 9.00 am prompt!! Please bring your bag or bags to the cycle shelter and help us have a really good collection.
Because of this we will be unable to use the bike store on 2nd. Please do not let your child bring their bike in on that day.
Christmas Disco—9th December Both events will be held in the school halls—KS1 event will be in the main hall and KS2 in Lloyd hall from 3.45-5.15pm. KS1 will have a professional entertainer and KS2 professional disco entertainment.
Tickets are £3.50 per child if purchased in advance or £4 on the door. Refreshments, magic reindeer food, glow sticks, fun photos will be available to purchase at the price of £1.50, not £1 as stated in the original letter.
LIMITED AMOUNT OF TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE (100 for each key stage).

Christmas Raffle This year we have some fabulous prizes—more raffle forms are available from the school office if needed. Remember you have to be in it to win it!
Good Works Assemblies There will be no more Good Works Assemblies until the Spring term. This is because we have lots of things going on during this busy festive time.
Money coming into school We have a lot of money coming in at the moment, trips, Christmas dinner, Raffle, Disco, etc and so the office will only accept money if it is in an envelope with your child’s name, class and what the money is for clearly marked on it.
Reminder Trips The year 1 children will be visiting the Redbridge museum tomorrow and the Year 2 children are going to the Museum of London. Please ensure if your child is in year 2 that they need to be dropped off at South Woodford tube station (George Lane entrance) by 8.45am. Please be prompt as we have a session booked at the museum. Year 6 Trenches Day This was in school last Friday. The children in Year 6 had a wonderful day and really enjoyed the team spirit.
After School Club Please note, there will be no After School Club on the last day of term—Friday 16th December.
Primary Maths Challenge at Ilford County High School Nahiyan, Anjola, Ajay and Swastika took part in the annual Primary Maths Challenge on Monday. Each round this year was based on the Olympics and involved a range of problem solving activities. The team worked well together and we came 3rd out of 9 schools which is a great achievement.
