We have also added pages for four of the subjects being taught in class (more subjects to be added soon). So please come and visit the website and see how we have made it more accessible, more informative, and more enjoyable for parents and pupils.

Office Opening Times
Please note that the school office does not open until 8.30am each morning. Therefore, if you are ringing in to report your child absent please do not do so before this time as sometimes messages are taken by non office staff and do not always get passed on.

All welcome! In light of the upcoming challenge day, here’s a puzzle for you to solve with your child. Send in answers to Miss Nwichi, winners will be answered in Good Works assembly:
Puzzle 1: Mr Kitto was exactly 5 years older than his wife and they had two children, who were twins and went to the local comprehensive school. One evening, one of the twins (who had just been given a calculator) announced that if you multiplied together the parents’ ages, and then added together the twins’ ages, and divided one result by another, the answer was 57 exactly. How old was Mr Kitto?

ESSA Swimming Gala
On Sunday evening, 9th May the swim team took part in a gala held at Loughton Leisure Centre. Schools from all over England were invited to take part. Glade entered the youngest team and is now 6th in the division. As always the team were ambassadors for the school, demonstrating their team spirit, positive behaviour and good manners. I should like to pass on comments received in a letter from the official announcer of the gala.
“As you are aware I was the announcer at the ESSA Division 8 gala held on Sunday at Loughton Leisure Centre. I am writing to say how impressed I was, as were others, with the team you bought along. They were polite, extremely well behaved and looked very smart in their school tracksuits. I think they were a credit to you as their team manager and their school as a whole, I hope you are all very proud of them. I wish them all the best of luck with their future swimming
competitions.”

Toddler Group
Just to remind you all about our Toddler Group which takes place in Lloyd Hall every Wednesday afternoon from 2-3pm.
